+1000 internets to you!
If we are to stay true to our 4chan "culture"..
"Internets" would be a suitable currency.

for currency
i personally using an already established currency is best until we have an established economy and can print money that isnt just worth paper with ink on it

I agree with this, but we could make them less in amounts.

We could also use internets as a currency, but then we ruin the internets meme.. worth it?

So be it!
Now here's some more problems:
Value: The more circulating, the lower it's value, but less circulating, harder on people to get things.
Import/export: Other countries wouldn't accept the currency for some time, it would have to be internal mostly (people entering exchange foreign currency for internets, within the country we only accept internets could be a solution. Use collected foreign currency for imports and exports.)
Anti-counterfeiting: Biggest problem I see, with any equipment we could get access to, it would be almost impossible to prevent counterfeiting.
Possible solution for all of this is use coin currency only, and making it out of metals that have value themselves. Gold was a currency for much of history, and still can be due to it's high value. Mix gold and a cheap metal and we get currency that could change in value based on the percentage of gold. The problem with this is counterfeiting coins is fairly easy when mixed metals are used, instead of pure metals. (pure meaning 99% or greater)
End walloftext

If we can collect gold, that would be one of the best ideas i can think of.

Sealand Dollars, Platinum, and Forex
How about before using our own currency, we use Sealand dollars?
1. Sealand Dollars have a fixed exchange rate, where $1 U.S dollar = $1 Seland dollar.
2. There will probably be the least legal hurdles (less bureaucracy) in a micro nation like Sealand.
3. They will share common ground with us, and not bully 4chan nation with their military power, like larger nations would.
As a more valuable form of currency, we could use platinum, or palladium. Something valuable for it's size that will likely rise in value over the next couple decades.
Lastly, we can hold foreign currency in the Forex market.
1. Physical currency is more easily stolen.
2. Physical currency is more expensive to store, and transport, thus should be kept to a minimum.
3. We can easily have the relevant currency ready for us, when we trade, and conduct business with various countries.

we should use a smaller countries stable money
just when where starting we should either use our own money in country giving people an equal worth of our money for thier foreign money when entering or just use another countrys money until our economy is globaly stabalized

new idea
lets do like sealand base our currency off another currency it might be risky if we go into debt but that would definatlably make it an accepted currency

Or we can take a step into the future. Setup student "visa" cards for tourists and ID cards for residents. And all the money is electronic. And tourists have to buy credits for their visa cards (equivalent to 1 us dollar per credit). It's sort of communist but its a lot cheaper to keep up a local database then to print money

id cardt
that might be a good idea for later but think of it now how easily it might be for hackers to come in and take everything i think paper money is the best thing for now

I had actually thought of such a system several months ago when thinking about something like 'Anonia.' This could work, but would have to have pretty good security, and would require infrastructure capable of handling daily transactions.

Would this be a local currency, or would it use USD?

And it would be a WLAN not homed on the internet therefore It would be a lot harder to hack (and also to setup unfortunately)
think of a bunched of linked wireless hubs together with computers and card readers set up to connect to them

Re: +1000 internets to you!
Why can't we use the Dollar or the Euro? This makes it also easier to trade with other countrys. Besides, most of our income will probably come from anon tourists.

Monies
Some of this is a rehash of very good ideas that have been mentioned already. It's good to see several anons that have a handle on this. Honestly money is what nations all come down to. It's how you sink or swim. Here's what I posted somewhere else: (particularly look at the last bit)
>to avoid the banking problems which have been the downfall of the modern world, and governments in general, I suggest a hard currency, like gold, or at least being backed by a hard currency; such as a 'gold standard'. The downfall of this is that physical items can be stolen. Literally having a shit ton of gold sitting around is probably a bad idea. Gold can be stored, or banked, somewhere else. Somewhere that it becomes someone else's problem of guaranteeing and defending it. Who really needs physical currency anymore anyway? Hell, you can convert directly between any major world currency when you withdraw with your debit/credit card.
That, or do the opposite. Be a barter based society. At least internally. Let anons trade and barter outside of our nation and manage currency however the fuck they want. If we want minimal government, minimal red tape and bs, minimal hassle, this is the simplest and most effective form. Additionally, it frees the government to trade in whatever the most profitable currency is, all related to a hard/gold standard of treasury value.

Bartering
Bartering seems like a great idea, but the problem would be... what do we have that others want? In a new society, everyone wouldnt be able to bring everything they want with them because of limited space. Ultimately we would need a means of producing something that could be used by anyone.

Re: +1000 internets to you!
I don't want to spam a previous post I made, so check out my ideas in Finances please. There are several individual and collective ways to generate revenue I believe.
Here's the thread:
https://anonia.forumotion.com/t13-manufactoring
Overall, we're going to be limited by natural resources on what we can produce for domestic use. Generating revenue to import necessities will be a primary objective imo.
